My art is a celebration of vibrant imperfection, with thick, bold strokes that reflect a raw, naïve aesthetic. I draw inspiration from the infectious rhythm of funk music, the bold colours and styles of the '70s, and the untold stories of underdog characters in pop culture, Australian undertones and politics.
As a stand-up comedian, my art and comedy run parallel—both are grounded in observation, timing, and truth-telling. Where my comedy uses humour to disarm and connect, my visual work carries those same ideas through colour, form, and feeling. Together, they create a dialogue that is both playful and reflective, inviting people to laugh, think, and see the world a little differently.
Through my work, I explore universal themes of love, peace, and oneness, aiming to create a visual groove that speaks to the heart and soul. My paintings are an expression of hope and connection, inviting viewers to embrace unity in the face of division.
Inspirational artists I admire are Martin Sharp, Banksy, Melissa Julian, Grayson Perry, and Jean-Michel Basquiat. These artists break the rules and use their art as a way of challenging ideals, pushing boundaries, and inviting viewers to question societal norms. Their work speaks boldly on themes of identity, politics, and culture, inspiring me to explore unconventional approaches in my own creative pursuits.
